Services — Test writing
A test built to your specification, not adapted from someone else's
For schools that need a placement test that fits their courses, or a progress test that matches what was actually taught. Written to spec, audited before delivery, certified on completion.
How it runs
- 1
Specification intake
You complete a one-page specification: CEFR level, skills to cover, task types, topics to include or avoid, timing, and how the results will be used (placement, progress, end of course). We confirm it back to you before writing begins — the specification is the contract.
- 2
Writing and internal review
One writer drafts; a second reviewer audits the draft against the same seven checks we apply to client material. Items that fail are rewritten before you ever see them.
- 3
Delivery
You receive the test, the answer key, and a calibration report documenting the level evidence for each section — plus a certificate for the finished paper.
What the calibration report contains
For each section: the target CEFR level, the vocabulary bands used, the grammar points tested and where they sit on public level inventories, and the intended item difficulty. If a parent, an inspector, or a franchise auditor asks why your placement test puts students where it does, this is the document you hand them.
Ownership
You own the delivered test outright. We keep no rights over it, do not resell it, and do not reuse its items for other clients. If you later modify the test, the certificate covers the version we delivered — re-certification after edits is a standard audit at the per-item rate.
